Start by gently blotting the area with a clean, dry cloth or paper towel. Always avoid rubbing, as this can push the liquid deeper into the boucle fabric.
After you’ve done this, use a slightly damp cloth with a mild detergent solution and lightly dab the spillage area. Work from the outside of the spill inwards to prevent it spreading further across the surface. Be careful not to oversaturate the fabric, as the boucle responds best to minimal moisture. Then, you can leave the spillage to dry naturally. Open any windows or doors to encourage more airflow and speed up the process. Wait a few hours, and it’ll be like nothing happened!
