Yes - open coil mattresses are very durable. A well-made open coil mattress, such as our’s, is designed to last for around 7-10 years, offering plenty of support as you sleep. With the right care and maintenance, your open coil mattress can last even longer. 

It’s easier than you may think to maintain your open coil mattress. Rotating it 180 degrees every 3 months or so is a great way to evenly distribute the weight across it, and this is really easy as it’s one of our lighter mattresses.

Regularly vacuuming your mattress with an upholstery attachment is essential to get rid of any of those dust-mites and hair, especially if you have pets. 

If a spillage occurs, it’s important to remove it as quickly as possible before it sets into a stain. A great way to do this is by using a damp cloth with a light cleaning detergent and lukewarm water. Blot the stain, rather than rubbing it, as this can spread the spillage and make the stain even worse. Don’t use any harsh cleaning products, as this can damage the mattress.  After doing this, wipe off any excess water with a separate dry cloth and wait for it to dry naturally.
