Our upholstered bed frames are designed to accommodate most standard mattress types to provide versatile support including:

Pocket Sprung - Pocket Sprung mattresses provide support that adapts to your body’s natural contours. They help to ease pressure point pain and the interconnected design of the springs minimise motion transfer across the mattress too, ensuring you don’t disturb your partner through the night.

Memory Foam - Our Memory Foam Mattresses mould perfectly to your body, relieving pressure points and providing excellent motion isolation. The dense foam fills in any gaps on the upholstered frame for seamless comfort and support all night. Great for side sleepers or anyone who loves to sink into their mattress.

Latex - Latex Mattresses offer responsive bounce and cushioning properties. Natural latex conforms gently for pressure relief and prevents sagging too.

Hybrid - For the best of both worlds, hybrids with foam comfort layers and pocketed coil support systems provide the perfect blend of support and comfort.

As long as your mattress is the same size as the frame, fits within the height confines and is designed for use on a platform bed or box spring, you should have no problem using it on our fantastic range of upholstered bed frames.

When choosing the right fabric for your upholstered bed, consider the style you want and how the material will withstand daily use. We offer luxurious fabrics like linen and Dumfries wool that provide both beauty and durability. 

Linen is a natural fibre fabric with a casual, breezy look that works well for coastal and relaxed aesthetics. Its texture naturally resists wrinkles and shaping. Plus, the breathable weave stays comfortable in any season. 

For bedrooms that require a more tailored, sophisticated look, our Dumfries wool fabric is an excellent choice. This polyester blend has a subtle texture with a soft hand feel. The smooth, tight weave gives it a refined drape and tailored finish that stands up well to daily use.  

But our fabric options don’t end there and there are plenty more to choose from. You’re sure to find the right fabric that compliments your style in our upholstered bed frame range.

It’s a simple process to assemble your upholstered bed frame, which usually takes just under an hour. 

Start by laying out all the parts, including the bed frame, headboard and side rails. We recommend that you start by attaching all the side rails to the headboard using screws or bolts.

You can then connect the footboard by laying in the slats or centre support beam, securing them as needed. Ensure that you tighten all bolts to really make sure everything's secure. 

Cleaning and regularly maintaining your upholstered bed is a great way to extend its lifespan. Regularly vacuuming and dusting your bed will remove any build up of dust, reducing wear and tear over time. 

If there is a spillage, we recommend that you use a damp cloth to spot clean the area as this can help prevent the stains from setting. 

Excessive sun exposure can also sometimes tarnish your bed over time, so this is something to consider when it comes to maintaining your bed. Potentially, you could purchase some UV film that can be layered over your window to soften the UV rays. This is a great way to ensure that your bed is not damaged from the sun’s UV rays over time. 

Rotating your mattress frequently can also help evenly distribute its weight, preventing any sags and dips, which also ultimately helps with your bed frame too.

My experience with Sloomy has been extremely disappointing from start to finish. The bed ordered via Debenhams for my vulnerable mother-in-law, who suffers from COPD and has limited mobility following a stroke, failed to arrive on the scheduled delivery date with no communication, update, or explanation. We had spent the day preparing for the delivery, including removing her existing bed, only to be left without any bed at all when the delivery failed to turn up. As a result, she was forced to spend the night sleeping on a sofa, causing significant discomfort and distress given her medical conditions. Despite the seriousness of the situation, there was little acknowledgment of the impact this had. When the bed finally arrived the following day, we discovered that the headboard could not be assembled because the required fittings were either missing or defective. What should have been a straightforward resolution turned into a frustrating and prolonged process. Attempts to obtain support have been met with slow responses, with Debenhams and sloomy passignbuck between each other, repeated requests for the same information, and a complete lack of ownership of the issue. We have been repeatedly asked to wait for escalations that never seem to happen, provide photographs multiple times, and start the process over with different agents who appear unaware of previous correspondence. Most concerning has been the apparent lack of urgency despite it being made clear that the customer affected is vulnerable. The combination of a missed delivery, poor communication, an incomplete product, lengthy delays in customer service responses, and failure to resolve the problem promptly has left us with very little confidence in Sloomy's customer care. Overall, this experience has been stressful, frustrating, and wholly unacceptable. I would not expect a vulnerable customer to be treated in this manner, and I hope significant improvements are made to both delivery reliability and after-sales support.

I ordered my sons bed to arrive two days before his birthday, I was pleasantly surprised when I received a text message to say it would actually arrive 6 days before his birthday, delivery was scheduled between 6am and 11am. On the delivery day I was at work and by 2.30pm I received a message saying the delivery van had broken down and they would contact me with an alternative date. Now I can understand that these things happen, what I do not understand and was infuriating was that I must have rang the landline number 20 times and the mobile number used to text me the same amount of times and that no one pciked up or answered the phone. The landline number just rang 5 times and then went dead. The service was shocking and being in limbo worrying if my son would get his bed before his birthday was frustrating. I did eventually get my bed at 6.35am on a bank holiday Monday morning!! I will admit the actual bed is very good quality and I cannot understimate this My advice for this company is that be aware if something goes wrong then you will be annoyed an frustrated

I would strongly advise others to think carefully before ordering from Sloomy. The bed I received was faulty and not fit for use. From the outset, resolving the issue was made unnecessarily difficult. Despite explaining that I am disabled, I was repeatedly asked to repackage and handle a large, broken bed using the original packaging, which was not a reasonable or accessible request. When I asked for communication by email as a reasonable adjustment, this was ignored. I was instead pushed into phone contact, and when I explained I record calls to help manage my disability, the representative refused to continue the conversation. At no point was a fair or practical resolution offered. The overall handling of this issue shows a complete lack of customer care and disregard for accessibility. This has been stressful, upsetting, and entirely avoidable. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this company.
