Boucle Beds

A boucle bed is upholstered with a soft woolen fabric that’s textured and created with a lot of loops and curls, sometimes also referred to as ‘teddy fleece’ material. It’s loved for its warm and inviting look that it gives to the living space, as well as providing a cosy sleep foundation.

A lot of our boucle beds are designed as ottomans with internal storage, allowing you to combine style with an effective storage solution. Cleaning boucle fabric is a lot easier than you may think, starting with some simple daily habits that can result in your bed lasting longer and you getting the most out of your money! 

Regular Maintenance 

For regular maintenance, we recommend gently vacuuming your bed with a soft brush attachment in the direction of the boucle’s texture. This will ensure that any dust, pet hairs or debris will be gently removed without damaging the materials. 

Spillages 

Dealing with a spillage as quickly as you can is important to ensure that it doesn’t set into a stain in your boucle fabric. We recommend that you spot clean the area with a damp cloth and some mild cleaning detergent to remove the spillage. Avoid using any harsh cleaning detergent and don’t scrub the area, as this can ruin the fabric even more. 

After you’ve finished cleaning the area, we recommend that you leave it to dry naturally so the fabric can return to its normal state. Open windows to encourage more airflow and speed up the drying process.
